Welcome to Zapallar Restaurant

Zapallar restaurant was born out of the need to have a pleasant atmosphere and authentic Chilean food to bring together the Chilean community as well as other communities that want to taste Chilean flavors in the Tri-State Region, New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ) and Connecticut (CT).

Our flavors are combined with taking the best of the South, Center and North areas of Chilean cuisine. The influences of Spanish, German, Italian and French cuisine mixed with the Mapuche culture and its ingredients from so fertile lands for the crops all combine to give delicious dishes. Chilean cuisine also shares some similarities with Mediterranean cuisine.

The food tradition and recipes in Chile are notable for the variety of flavours and ingredients, with the country's diverse geography and climate hosting a wide range of agricultural produce, fruits and vegetables.

Our Location

We are in the heart of North Bergen in New Jersey just a few minutes from Times Square in New York City. Easy access from New York via George Washington Bridge or Lincoln Tunnel.

In our restaurant Sweets, Cakes and Desserts are made with recipes from very traditional Chilean pastry shops such as
Alfajor, Queques, Pasteles, Berlines, Tartaletas, Pie de Limon, Kuchen and more.
